High-pressure oxygen chambers are roughly divided into two categories according to their pressure-bearing structure. Differences between 1.5 ATA soft chamber and clinical hyperbaric oxygen
Soft cabins fall under the category of low-pressure cabins. There is a clear definition threshold for clinical hyperbaric oxygen therapy: patients must breathe medical-grade oxygen at a pressure of not less than 2.0 ATA in a hard compartment that complies with the corresponding pressure vessel and fire safety regulations. Common clinical treatment pressures are between 2.0 and 3.0 ATA. Exposure to air pressure below this threshold is generally not included in the definition of therapeutic hyperbaric oxygen.
Therefore, a 1.5 ATA soft chamber, with or without oxygen or HBOT in its name, cannot be used as a clinical hyperbaric oxygen therapy device based solely on pressure numbers. Its value falls more on non-clinical scenarios such as daily family life, exercise recovery, relaxation and stress reduction. When making a purchase, don’t be obsessed with the higher the pressure, the better: higher pressure does not automatically mean better fit, better results or safer. The key is to see if it matches your actual use.
What to check when selecting a 1.5 ATA software cabin
After locking the 1.5 ATA software bay, there are a few things worth confirming item by item. In terms of pressure, in addition to the number 1.5 ATA, we also need to look at the normal operating pressure, the maximum allowable operating pressure, and the set pressure of the pressure relief device.
