Henry’s Law And Plasma Saturation
At the heart of hyperbaric oxygen chambers is Henry’s law: the solubility of a gas in a liquid is proportional to the pressure. When the cabin reaches 1.5 to 3.0 atmospheres, oxygen no longer waits in line for red blood cells to pick it up, but directly “squeezes” into plasma, cerebrospinal fluid and lymph.
